Favorite Places of Oregon....
As far as we're concerned, there is no place more beautiful, more scenic, more interesting & fascinating than our wonderful State of Oregon. From rocky pacific beaches to the enchanting Cascade Mountains; from the high desert places with their windswept vistas to the eastern painted hills...it's all breathtaking.
If you're wondering where to take a road trip or just planning a day's drive you can always find numerous unique places to visit.
All up and down the Oregon coast (about every 1/2 hour) are small towns with quaint shops and restaurants. There is beach access aplenty where you can stroll along the uncrowded coastline, view tidepools, climb rocks and find sea caves. And don't forget all the lighthouses scattered up and down the coast!
You can visit Portland with all it's charm, travel the Columbia Gorge, hike wilderness areas and fish in remote lakes and streams.
Let's take a look at some of these remarkable spots.
Cape Blanco Lighthouse, furthest point out on the west coast. You can hike around the lighthouse & even climb up to the light May-Sep. There are no fences on the bluffs so be careful while hiking. On the left side of the point is Cape Blanco campground, or you can hike down the trail to the right side of the point to visit tidepools & get in some deep sea fishing from the beach. One of our favorite places on the whole coast!
